Islas Griegas. La Isla de ios
En el templo de Apolo en Delfos hay una máxima inscrita que dice ‘Conócete a ti mismo’. Y es que no se me ocurre un lugar mejor para reencontrase a uno mismo que las Islas Griegas. La Isla de ios .
Ubicada entre las conocidas Islas de Mykonos y Santorini, se encuentra la isla de ios. Había estado hace unos años en Santorini navegando en crucero por el Mar Egeo, sin embargo, en esa ocasión tuve la oportunidad de conocer Ios. Esta vez, gracias a la invitación por parte de TravelConcepSolution y TravelMassive pude participar en el evento #lifeonios.
AGALIA Luxury Suites
Estuve alojado en el AGALIA Luxury Suites. Se trata de un hotel boutique diseñado y construido con exquisito gusto, dentro del proyecto Luxurios, siguiendo unas normas de turismo sostenible y cuidado con el medio ambiente. Así, la piedra, el mármol, el agua y la vegetación, están presentes en sus atmósferas y ambientes y son su seña de identidad.
El establecimiento hotelero se sitúa en una montaña frente al puerto de Ios, con vistas al puerto y al pueblo de Chora, el principal y casi único pueblo de la isla.
El hotel cuenta con habitaciones de varios tipos y tamaños, todas ellas con toques de lujo y un diseño único, obra de su propietario. Cuenta también con tres suites con piscina privada con vistas al Mar Egeo y al puerto.
Entre los muchísimos detalles que me han llamado la atención, figuran principalmente la decoración y el trato excelente de sus empleados. Toques de distinción como bañeras de mármol hechas a medida, diseños exclusivos en mobiliario e iluminación y las orquídeas -una de mis plantas favoritas- están presenten en muchos lugares del hotel.
Su restaurante se llama Taste of Joy y cuenta con una deliciosa combinación de especialidades griegas tradicionales y cocina-fusión. El comedor es al aire libre, en una terraza con magníficas vistas al Mar Egeo.
Ios es una isla relativamente pequeña y puedes ir en autobús de un lado a otro sin problemas. Esto te permite poder descubrir playas como Mylopotas, que es al más famosa del territorio insular; o los arenales de Theodoti, Kalamos y Maganari. Ya trabajo en el siguiendo post sobre mi experiencia #lifeonios en el que os hablaré del Pathos Lounge Bar, un lugar impresionante, con unas vistas de cine.

Inscribed on the temple of Apollo at Delphi there’s a quote: “Know thyself” (Know yourself) I can’t think of a better place as The Greek Islands To catch up with yourself.
The amazing Ios Island is located between the well known Mykonos and Santorin Islands. I had been once at Santorin island (I was enjoying an Aegean cruise) but I didn’t have the opportunity to knew Ios island. So, this year, thanks to TravelConcepSolution and TravelMassive I was invited to take part in the marvellous event #lifeonios
I was hosted at the AGALIA Luxury Suites. It’s a Boutique Hotel built and designed with the most exquisite taste, they’re part of the Luxurios Project (following standards of environmental care and sustainable tourism) So, the atmosphere of the Hotel is created by blending the stone, marble, water and vegetation, as its hallmark.
It’s located on the top of a mountain overlooking the port and Chora village (the one and only important village in the island)
The Hotel Provides several kinds of rooms with its unique style and luxury designs (all designed by the hotel owner) they also offer three Suites with a private pool with the overview of the harbour and Egeo sea.
Among all the amazing things I loved I will said that the design and the kindness of the staff were at the top of my favourite ones. The rooms had some things that made them special as the marble bathtubs, and the exclusive illumination and furniture (in general, the atmosphere was amazing) And of course, I have to mention the orchid flowers (one of my favourite flowers ever) that you could find all around the facilities (so lovely)
Its outdoor restaurant, Taste of Joy, (with amazing views of the Aegean Sea) has a delicious combination of Traditional recipes and sophisticated ones, in order to combine and create a Modern Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.
Ios is a small island so you can go from a place to another just by taking a bus without any problem. And because of this easy way of moving all around the island you can find amazing places like Theodoti sandy sea, Kalamos and Maganari.

Este viaje fue todo un regalo para el cuerpo y para descansar y conocer esta parte del mediterráneo. Volvería encantado cada año
Estuvimos en Mykonos y Santorini durante sendas escalas de un crucero por las Islas Griegas pero tenemos muchas ganas de regresar y ver otras islas de una forma más tranquila, con tiempo para visitarlas pero también para relajarnos y desconectar del estrés. Este hotel sin duda es una muy buena opción. Nos la apuntamos. ?

Estoy deseando volver a Grecia y seguir descubriendo sus islas, me parecen algo increíble, me encantan los colores, la gente, la gastronomía, paisajes, todo. Espero volver prontito.

El Agalia Luxury suites me ha parecido un hotelazo! Me encanta la decoración tan cuidada, y esas fotos del desayuno ya ni te cuento! Además, por lo que dices, está súper bien situado.
Nunca hemos estado en las islas griegas, es uno de nuestros grandes pendientes en Europa. Cuando vayamos, por supuesto que pasaremos por Ios. Parece una isla pequeñita y más tranquila que sus vecinas, y estando entre Mykonos y Santorini, es de parada prácticamente obligada. ¿Cuántos días recomendarías para conocer Ios tranquilamente?

Wow!!! Desde luego, tienes muy buena vista para ecoger lugares donde relajarse. Nunca he visto una luz como la de las islas griegas. Ojalá pueda regresar algún día.
Yo estoy deseando volver, a ver si este otoño consigo organizarme uno poco y voy unos cuantos días de visita por algunas de las islas griegas que tengo anotadas en mi agenda. Son una chulada.
¡Un auténtico lujo de hotel! Tenemos planeado visitar Grecia próximamente, e Ios no la conocíamos, pero queda anotada (al igual que el Agalia). Un saludo.
